Junior Ryan Saarela had 10 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and two blocks and the No. 5-ranked Tommies (11-1 overall, 6-1 MIAC) won their sixth in a row and stayed in a share of the MIAC men's basketball lead with St. Olaf with Saturday's 64-38 home defeat of the Concordia Cobbers (7-4, 3-3) at Schoenecker Arena.

The Tommies improved to 6-0 at home as they used second-half runs of 13-4 and 15-0 to pull away. Taylor Montero had 11 points and six rebounds; Marcus Alipate contributed 10 points; Cortez Tillman added nine points; and Grant Shaeffer added eight points.

Jordan Bolger had 11 points and 13 boards for the Cobbers. Concordia shot just 30 percent from the floor and had 18 turnovers.

The Toms have a Wednesday bye and return to action Jan. 17 at Hamline.
