Oosterbaan selected to first career Summit Academic All-League Team

Redshirt sophomore forward the third Tommie selected to the team since 2021-22
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Redshirt-sophomore Ben Oosterbaan was selected to his first career Summit Academic All-League Team, recognizing his academic and athletic success, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Oosterbaan's selection to the academic team is the fourth for the program since 2021-22, joining Burt Hedstrom (2021-22) and Parker Bjorklund (2022-23, 2023-24).
Oosterbaan, a finance major from Hinsdale, Ill., started all 34 games for the Tommies and averaged 7.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. He shot 49.8 percent from the floor and averaged 19.5 points per game during the 2026 Summit League Championship, scoring a career high 23 points during a quarterfinal win over South Dakota State and 16 points in the semifinal against North Dakota. Oosterbaan finished the season 18th in the Summit League in rebounds per game, 21st in steals per game and 25th in 3FGs per game.
In order to qualify for the Summit Academic All-League Team, individuals must have at least a 3.3 cumulative career grade-point average, be in their second full academic year at the current institution and participated in at least 50 percent of their team's completed competitions.
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's nine institutions and voting is conducted by both the SIDs and facility athletic representatives (FARs).
