A loss and a win for Softball to close trip

Jenna Hoffman went 5-for-7 at the plate on Friday to help Tommie softball split two Friday games in Clermont, Fla. St. Thomas lost 7-1 to UW-River Falls, but came back to win 6-1 over Buena Vista (Iowa).
The No. 12-ranked Tommies (13-5) posted a 5-3 record in Florida.
In the River Falls loss, Hoffman went 2-for-3 with a single and a double and had the only RBI.
Against Buena Vista, Kelsy Kannegiesser started and worked six innings. Hoffman went 3-for-4 with a bunt base hit, a triple, and a single. The Tommies outhit Buena Vista, 11-4. The Tommies are scheduled to begind MIAC play next week, weather permitting. Stay tuned to tommiesports.com for postponements and changes.
