Drew Fielding stopped all 29 shots as the first-place Tommies skated to a 0-0 overtime tie with St. Mary's Friday night in MIAC men's hockey play in Winona.
The Toms (9-7-2 overall, 6-2-1 MIAC) play the Cards again Saturday (7:30 p.m.) on home ice.
St. Thomas (6-2-1, 13), St. Mary's (5-1-1, 11), St. Olaf (5-2, 10) have the best three records in the conference.
UST outshot St. Mary's, 38-29.
Fielding has allowed one goal in 189:21 over the last three games as he shutout Hamline and lost 1-0 in OT to the Pipers last weekend.
It's believed to be the first 0-0 tie for Tommie men's hockey in at least 25 seasons.
