Men's Hockey rebounds, gets 3-0 win over Pipers

Drew Fielding stopped all 20 shots in a shutout to lead the host Tommies (9-7-1 overall, 6-2 MIAC) to a 3-0 win over Hamline in MIAC men's hockey play Saturday night in Mendota Heights.
The Tommies remained in the MIAC lead at 6-2, just ahead of 5-1 St. Mary's and 4-2 St. Olaf.
Spencer Brendel scored 2:39 into the game for UST. Travis Baker added a second-period power-play goal. Bryce Walker added an empty-net goal with 50 seconds left.
Fielding stopped 40 of 41 shots on the weekend in 1:24:29 in net. He btook a 1-0 overtime loss on a late power-plt goal on Friday, and had close win on Saturday not secured until late.
The Tommies play St. Mary's next weekend -- Friday night in Winona and Saturday on home ice in Mendota Heights.
