The St. Thomas men's hockey team skated to a 3-3 overtime tie at St. Mary's in MIAC action Friday night in Winona.
The Tommies (10-9-1 overall, 5-5-1 MIAC) rallied to score the tying and go-ahead goals in the third period.
But the host Cardinals pulled their goalie and tied the game with 12 seconds left in regulation. Brandon Bahnemann had put UST ahead with just over 3:00 to play.
Riley Horgan and Tommy Westmark added goals. Tyrone Simcoe stopped 18 of 21 shots over 65:00.
The teams play again Saturday night in Mendota Heights (7 p.m.).
