Hayes Hundley Signs with Toronto Maple Leafs of National Hockey League

Hundley inked a three-year deal with the Leafs beginning the 2026-27 season.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Thomas men's hockey defenseman Hayes Hundley has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL), the organization announced Friday, March 27.
 
Hundley appeared in 38 games during his lone season with the Tommies, recording six goals and six assists for 12 points.
 
He earned CCHA All-Rookie Team honors after posting a +10 rating on the blue line, the fourth-best mark among conference rookies. Hundley become the first St. Thomas defenseman in program history to sign and NHL contract.
 
A native of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Hundley netted two game-winning goals during the season, coming against Bowling Green and Ferris State. He received one CCHA Rookie of the Week honor.
