Stu's 2025-26 sports assignments: Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Golf, Softball (Secondary)

Stuart Borne started with the St. Thomas Athletic Training staff in 2016. Borne serves as a Certified Athletic Trainer working primarily with women's soccer and men's and women's golf throughout the school year and assisting with softball in the fall. He, along with the entire St. Thomas Athletic Training Staff, provides services for St. Thomas athletes via Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) and its partnership with the university.
 
Previous stops for Stu include two years at Augsburg College providing athletic training services for men's and women's soccer, men's and women's basketball, and track & field. Prior to Augsburg, Stu worked at the Blake School for two years providing athletic training services for all sports and student athletes. 
 
Before Blake, Stu earned his master's degree while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the University of Minnesota Gopher's cross country, track & field, tennis, and football programs, and was a part of the men's indoor track Big Ten Championship team in 2011.
 
Stu earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2010 and completed a summer training camp internship with the Miami Dolphins in 2009. 
 
Stu is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist and yoga instructor. 

He lives in Mounds View with his wife, Katie, and children, Charlie, Teddy, and Archie, and dog, Patty.
