Guido Falbo
Guido Falbo joined the St. Thomas football coaching staff in spring 2025. This will be his first season with the Tommies.

A well seasoned veteran, Falbo brings over 25 years of experience to St. Paul, Minnesota. Most recently, Falbo served as an assistant coach and special teams coordinator at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. During his tenure at Cornell, Falbo coached several All-Ivy League student-athletes while serving as the special teams coordinator, linebacker, running backs and tight ends coach. He helped running back Luke Hagy earn All-Ivy League honors in his final two seasons, as Hagy became the first player in Ivy League history to surpass 2000 rushing and 1500 receiving yards in a career. Punter Chris Fraser set nearly every Cornell and Ivy League punting record and became just the third player in conference history to be named all-league first-team four times. As a defenisve coach, Falbo helped the Big Red defense rank in the top 25 nationally in first downs defense (seventh, 115), third-down defense (11th, .321), red zone defense (15th, .719), rushing defense (18th, 121.9), scoring defense (19th, 20.7) and total defense (21st, 335.6) in 2019.

In addition to his time at Cornell, Falbo coached at some of the top athletic and academic institutions in the nation, including Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), the University of Massachusettes (UMass), the University of Rhode Island, St. Lawrence University and Syracuse. He helped start Division II program Alderson Nroaddus, helping the team to a 9-2 record in their first season as an NCAA program in 2012. Prior to helping build a program from scratch at Alderson Broaddus, Falbo spent time at RPI (2011), UMass (2004-10), Rhode Island (2002-03), St. Lawrence (2001), Syracuse (2000) and Western Connecticut (1999), as well as stops at California (Pa.), Princeton and Maine Maritime Academy.

A graduate of Central Connecticut State University, Falbo was a two-year starter for the Blue Devils at safety. He graduated from Central Connecticut State with a degree in Physical Education and Exercise Sciences.
