Fritcher and Bond lead offense
ST. PAUL, MINN.- The St. Thomas fell 7-4 in game one against the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles. Easton Fritcher and Owen Bond led the Tommie offense with two hits.
Scoring Summary
The Golden Eagles opened the scoring first, plating one in the top of the first inning. Oral Roberts then hit a two-run home run in the second to take a 3-0 lead. The Golden Eagles then took a 5-0 lead in the top of the third.
St. Thomas got on the board in the bottom half of the third, plating three off RBIs from Joe Roder and Easton Fritcher; cutting the deficit to two. The Tommies then plated another in the fourth, making it 5-4. Tanner Recchio brought Adam Puder in via a sacrifice fly.
Oral Roberts then broke open the gap by scoring twice in the eighth and taking a 7-4 lead.
