Last time out

The Tommies picked up their first series win of the season over Omaha this past weekend in dramatic fashion. St. Thomas fell in game one before bouncing back and winning games two and three.

St. Thomas then fell in their third and final midweek matchup against Minnesota 12-1.

History with Oral Roberts

The Purple and Gray hold a 10-14 record against Oral Roberts and are looking to break a four-game losing streak against the Golden Eagles.

The two squads faced off back in March down in Tulsa, Oklahoma where the Golden Eagles took all three games of that series.

Scouting the Golden Eagles

The Golden Eagles sit at the top of the Summit League with a 16-3 conference record and our 26-17 overall.

At the plate, Oral Roberts is led by senior Makani Tanaka who is hitting .324 on the season with nine home runs. On the mound, the Golden Eagles staff holds a 4.42 ERA and a .241 batting average against.

21 Innings, two days

St. Thomas and Northern Colorado set records for their 21-inning marathon game that took two days to complete. The game was suspended in the 11th inning on Friday, April 17th and picked back up again on April 18th. There were nine scoreless innings before both teams scored two in the 19th. The game ultimately ended via a walk off in the bottom of the 21st.

Reaching the Summit

Junior Owen Bond is making a name for himself amongst Summit League foes. Bond holds a .473 on-base percentage and four triples which leads the league. Bond is second in the league in batting average with a .356.

Joe Roder also leads the Summit League in walks with 25.

Recchio Off and Running
