Four transfers and one true freshman to don the Purple and Gray this season

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- As the St. Thomas men's basketball program prepares for its first fully eligible season within NCAA Division I in 2025-26, the team welcomes in five newcomers to strengthen a squad that was one win shy of the Summit League Championship a season ago.

"We are thrilled to add five newcomers to St. Thomas Basketball," Head Coach Johnny Tauer said. "These five guys have been incredibly successful in their basketball careers to this point, and each of them is eager to join our culture and help Tommie Basketball continue to be one of the most unique stories in all of college basketball! Collectively, they bring a play style that fits us – up-tempo, unselfish, smart, skilled, and tough.

"Coming off a 24-win season, with DI program records in wins, Summit League wins, an undefeated home record (14-0), and program bests in both the NET rankings and KenPom computer rankings, we are eager to unveil the '25-26 edition of St. Thomas Basketball. This is a talented and motivated group of players, with 10 returners bolstered by these five newcomers. In addition, the opening of Anderson Arena this fall, a state-of-the-art facility, will be an incredible addition to our program, department, and university that will be enjoyed by our student-athletes, fans, and community."
