Men’s Hockey announces complete 2025-26 schedule

The Tommies play eight non-conference games and 26 games in CCHA play
ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Thomas Men's Hockey announced its 2025-26 schedule on Thursday, May 29. The Tommies will play a total of 34 regular season contests including 26 CCHA games (13 home and 13 away) and eight non-conference games.
The Tommies' fifth season at the Division I level begins with a familiar opponent on the road at St. Cloud State Oct. 4 as part of a split home-and-home series. The following week the Toms take on the North Dakota Fighting Hawks for the first time in program history, on the road on Oct. 10 and then at Xcel Energy Center on Oct. 12. The Purple's road-heavy start continues with a series in Colorado against Air Force Oct.17-18.
As previously announced, the Tommies will open the state-of-the-art Lee & Penny Anderson Arena Oct. 24-25 against the Providence Friars, presented by Wings Credit Union.
CCHA play kicks off with a series against the reigning CCHA champion Minnesota State Mavericks, first at home Oct. 31 and then in Mankato Nov. 1. After a weekend off, the Tommies will complete the split home-and-home with St. Cloud State and host the Huskies (Tuesday) Nov. 11 before heading on the road for their lone away contest against Augustana Nov. 15.
Bowling Green comes to Lee & Penny Anderson Arena Nov. 21-22 and then November wraps up with a road series at Michigan Tech Nov. 28-29. St. Thomas plays two series in December. First, playing host to Lake Superior State Dec. 5-6 and then finishing out 2025 with a road series at Northern Michigan Dec. 12-13.
The Tommies return home as the calendar flips to 2026 with a weekend against Ferris State Jan. 2-3 and a series with Bemidji State Jan. 16-17 with a lone road game in between against the Mavericks in Mankato Jan. 10. A trip to the Sault (Lake Superior State) Jan. 23-24 is the penultimate series of January before the Purple host Michigan Tech Jan. 30-31.
The final month of the regular season, February, sees St. Thomas heading to Bowling Green Feb. 6-7, hosting Augustana Feb. 20-21, and wrapping with Bemidji State up north Feb. 27-28.
The CCHA playoffs begin Mar. 6 with the higher seed hosting all the way through to the Mason Cup Final.
Last year, the Tommies finished the season as one of the hottest teams in college hockey, posting a 15-3-1 record in the second half to advance to the Mason Cup Championship for the first time in program history.
