Baseball earns victory in game two, defeats Northern Colorado 11-2

Tommies defeat Northern Colorado, remain on top of conference standings with one game to play
Northern Colorado opened scoring, tallying one run in the first inning on Friday afternoon. St. Thomas quickly responded, scoring five runs across the second and third frame to gain an early 5-1 lead.
Both teams added a run in the sixth frame before St. Thomas posted a five-run seventh inning to extend its lead to 11-2. Holding the nine-run advantage the remainder of the contest, St. Thomas defeated the Bears in game two.
Five Tommies recorded multi-hit games, led by Max Moris who went 3-for-3. Joe Vos tallied two runs, two hits and four RBI on Friday against the Bears.
Walker Retz (6-1) posted four scoreless frames, as Kody Dalen recorded three strikeouts over the final 3.0 innings.
The Tommies and Oral Roberts are tied for first in Summit League standings. A win tomorrow for St. Thomas would clinch the Tommies' second straight Summit League Title.
