Tommies defeat Northern Colorado to earn back-to-back conference titles

GREELEY, Colo. --   St. Thomas baseball traveled to Northern Colorado for the final weekend of the 2025 season. In the season finale, St. Thomas (29-21 overall, 21-9 Summit) defeated Northern Colorado (18-33 overall, 9-21 Summit) and has clinched its second straight Summit League regular season title.

Northern Colorado tallied six runs to open Saturday afternoon's game. After two scoreless frames, St. Thomas began its comeback bid en route to its second Summit League Title.

Scoring a pair of runs in the fourth, followed by a six-run top of the fifth, the Tommies gained the 8-6 lead after five innings at Jackson Field.

St. Thomas extended its lead, adding four runs in the sixth before Northern Colorado scored one run in the bottom of the frame.

The Tommies added four runs across the final three innings, defeating Northern Colorado 16-7.

In the season finale, the Tommie offense was led by Max Moris, Brigs Richartz and Joe Vos who recorded home runs in their final collegiate games. The trio combined for 11 RBI against the Bears.

Joe Roder went 4-for-6 against the Bears, as Alex Hendrickson tallied three hits and three runs in the final game of the season.

Riane Ritter (6-1) posted four scoreless innings and five strikeouts over 6.0 frames on Saturday. Bryce Leedle and Max Skilbeck combined for five strikeouts, not allowing a hit over the final three innings.

The Tommies finished the 2025 season with their highest overall and conference win total of the DI-era. For the first time, St. Thomas secured the season series victory against each Summit League opponent.

St. Thomas is the first Summit League baseball program to win back-to-back regular season titles since Oral Roberts did so in 2017 and 2018.
