ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Tommie Track & Field returns to multi-meet weekends April 12-13 as it prepares to compete at the Arkansas Spring Invitational, Bison Outdoor Classic and the Bethel Invitational.  
 
The Arkansas Spring Invitational (hosted by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark.) and Bethel Invitational (hosted by Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn.) will be on Saturday, April 12 while the Bison Outdoor Classic (hosted by Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Penn.) will span from Saturday to Sunday, April 13.

Last Time Out 
The pole vault event group led the way April 5 for St. Thomas track & field as the men's and women's programs competed at the Ashton May Invitational in La Crosse, Wis. The teams combined for four event wins and 11 top three finishes. 
 
The Tommie women saw multiple standout performances and three new entries into the program's all-time top 10 lists. Sophomore Morgan Koppelman broke a 21-year-old pole vault record with a mark of 3.86m, placing third overall while freshman Brooke Wisdom joined the top 10 list in the event. Senior Hailey Shimon nearly tied the school discus record with a winning throw of 46.29m, and junior Chloe Staub finished third in the javelin with a top five program mark. Graduate student Anna Swanson won the javelin, and sophomore Elise Biorn added a top 10 triple jump performance. Senior Hailey Hindt rounded out the event wins, claiming the 400m hurdles in 1:01.74. 
 
The men's team picked up an event win and several top finishes, led by senior Sam Duffing, who claimed victory in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.19. In the pole vault, senior Jack Rosner reached a personal best of 4.76m to place fourth and move into seventh all-time in program history. Senior Shane Aberg just missed the program's discus top 10 list with a fourth-place toss of 48.97m, while freshman Riddik Collier placed sixth in the 100m prelims and a second-place time of 10.71 (wind-aided) in the finals.
