Tommie Women’s Golf to compete at Mountain Classic Match Play Feb. 10-12

Tommies travel to Palm Springs, Cali. to compete with seven programs
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Tommies are back in action for the first time in 118 days after their lengthy winter break. They will head back to the Mountain Classic Match Play event in Palm Springs, California at The Classic Club hosted by the Boise State Broncos for the second consecutive year.
The tournament begins on Monday, February 10th and concludes on Wednesday the 12th. The Tommies will match up with one individual team and compete head-to-head. The winner of the matchup progresses further in the tournament. The Tommies took second place last season after defeating North Dakota State and Boise State in the first and second rounds before falling to Northern Arizona in the final. All three of those programs return this season.

Northern Arizona
Boise State
Montana State
Wyoming
Seattle
Portland State
North Dakota State

Last Time Out
The Tommies repeated as champions of the Tommie Invite to conclude the 2024 portion of their schedule in October.
Kathryn VanArragon (75-72-73—220, +4) led the tournament from wire-to-wire for her second career individual title. Emma Davies took fifth place, Isabelle Lynch finished in eighth, Nicole Reineke took 11th and Amelia Morton rounded out the Tommies lineup in 12th.
Overall, the Tommies won the tourney with a team score of 305-302-300—907 (+43) over the course of a blustery two days at StoneRidge Golf Club. The Purple finished 10 strokes clear of the South Dakota State Jackrabbits (+53) in second place.
