The Tommies failed to generate offense in 4-1 defeat
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – St. Thomas Men's Hockey (11-13-5 overall, 8-9-4 CCHA) could not get things going in its 4-1 loss to the RV Bowling Green Falcons (15-9-4, 11-6-4) on Friday night at Slate Family Ice Arena.
The Tommies' line of Sterzer-Braccini-Gay was the only line to produce a goal. Caige Sterzer scored his seventh of the season in the final two minutes of regulation.

The Bowling Green Falcons dominated the action on Friday night. They scored two goals in the first period 12 seconds apart from one another at 12:56 and 13:08.
They started strong in the second period with their third goal at 4:01. The Toms were granted two chances on the power play but came up empty on both occasions. First, on a minor penalty at 6:01 and then on a major boarding penalty at 13:37. They mustered just four shots between those six minutes of power play.
Bowling Green scored on their third power play chance at 17:03 in the third period.
St. Thomas netted its only goal of the contest to avoid the shutout at 18:37. Jake Braccini sent a shot toward the net to a crashing Cooper Gay. The puck deflected off his skate and underneath the Bowling Green goaltender, Cole Moore. Caige Sterzer, planted near the blue paint, gave the puck the nudge it needed to get over the goal line.
The game ended with 43 minutes of penalties and was chippy throughout. The Falcons outshot the Toms 33-25 and won 32 of the 57 faceoffs. Aaron Trotter stopped 29 of the 33 pucks he faced.
