Baseball drops game three to the Aggies

Comeback bid falls short, New Mexico State defeats the Tommies 9-8
In his first at-bat of the afternoon, Max Nyrop put the Tommies in the early lead with a two-run home run in the top of the first inning. However, New Mexico State responded in the bottom of the frame with four runs of its own.
While St. Thomas added one run in the top of the second, New Mexico State held the lead until the top of sixth frame. In the sixth, St. Thomas posted a five-run inning led by Max Moris who recorded a 2-RBI double, evening the score at 8-8.
New Mexico State regained the one-run lead in the seventh. Holding the lead through the remainder of the contest, the Aggies defeated St. Thomas 9-8 in game three.
Easton Bobb made his collegiate debut allowing three runs and totaling three strikeouts over four innings.
Carl Cano entered the game in the bottom of the eighth. The senior struck out all three batters he faced.
