Sixteen Tommies earn PFL honors

ST. PAUL, MINN. – The postseason awards are starting to roll in for the University of St. Thomas football team. After another top-3 finish in the Pioneer Football League, the Tommies saw 17 student-athletes receive honors from the conference, as they were voted to one of three All-Conference teams.
Ten Tommies received either First or Second Team honors from the PFL. Ryan Sever (Edina, Minn. / Benilde-St. Margaret), Luke Schuler (Kenosha, Wis. / Saint Joseph) and Eliot Huether (Minnetonka, Minn. / Benilde-St. Margaret) were named First Team All-Conference Tuesday afternoon, while Quentin Cobb-Butler (Woodbury, Minn. / Woodbury)), Andy Peters (Boise, Idaho / Timberline), James Morrison (West St. Paul, Minn. / Cretin-Derham Hall), Jason Laliberte (Maple Grove, Minn. / Maple Grove), Kole Sneed (Oak Park, Ill. / Oak Park & River Forest), Charlie Boucher (Minneapolis, Minn. / Southwest) and JaShawn Todd (Los Angeles, Calif. / Oaks Christian) were named Second Team All-Conference.
In addition to these 10 student-athletes, seven St. Thomas players were named All-Conference Honorable Mention: Ryan Calcagno (St. Charles, Ill. / St. Francis), Nick Hand (Rogers, Minn. / Totino-Grace), Den Juette (Chicago, Ill. / Fenwick), Ahmed Muhammad (Lakewood, Ohio / Lakewood), Jordan Pendleton (Memphis, Tenn. / Lausanne Collegiate School), Todd as an all-purpose offensive player, and Patrick Wagner (Crofton, Md. / Archbishop Spalding).
