LAST TIME OUT:
ST. THOMAS:
The Tommies continued to dominate on both sides of the ball, downing Davidson 35-7 at O'Shaughnessy Stadium on Halloween. With the win, St. Thomas improved to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play, holding its spot atop the PFL standings. The Tommies defense was particularly impressive, as they held the Wildcats to under 200 yards of total offense, the first time St. Thomas has held a team to under 200 yards since November 23, 2025.

BUTLER: The Bulldogs also earned a key victory on Saturday, defeating Presbyterian 27-10. It marked Butler's second consecutive victory in PFL play, having defeated conference favorite Drake 31-22 the previous weekend. The Bulldogs used a 14-point first quarter to propel them to victory, shutting out the Blue Hose in the opening 10 minutes of play. In an impressive defensive display, Butler limited Presbyterian to just 87 rush yards and 120 passing yards.

KEY STORYLINES:
WE'RE TALKING PLAYOFFS:
With both the Tommies and Bulldogs tied for first place in the PFL standings, this game carries significant weight in determining the conference champion. A win for either team would provide a crucial edge as the season nears its conclusion. The Dayton Flyers are also in the mix after beating Butler earlier this season. St. Thomas will not play Dayton in 2026.

ON THE (D)FENCE: The Tommies' defense has been formidable, holding Davidson to just 58 net rushing yards last Saturday. Will Seymour (St. Louis Park, Minn. / Benilde-St. Margaret's) has been a standout performer, becoming the first St. Thomas student-athlete to record 3.0+ sacks in a single game since 1994.

NICK PEIPERT PICKED A PECK OF: Redshirt freshman Nick Peipert (Barrington, Ill. / Barrington) has been impressive for the Tommies, leading the team to score over 30 points in three consecutive games. Peipert showcased his dual-threat abilities by throwing for 257 yards and rushing for 116 yards against the Wildcats, contributing to four touchdowns in the process.
