No.13/14 St. Thomas Tommies slated to take on Bemidji State Beavers in WCHA series
ST. PAUL, MINN- The No.13/14 St. Thomas women's hockey team (7-4, 2-4) head north to take on the Bemidji State Beavers (2-5-1, 0-5-1) on Nov. 7 & 8 for a WCHA series. Puck drop is slated for 3 p.m. on Nov. 7 and 2 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the Sanford Center in Bemidji, Minn.

Last Time Out
The Tommies fell in back-to-back games to the No. 2/2 Ohio State Buckyes at Lee & Penny Anderson Arena.
In game one, the Purple battled the Buckeyes in a 3-2 overtime loss. Whitney Horton got the Tommies on the board within the first 43 seconds of the contest. Chloe Boreen then put St. Thomas up 2-1 before Ohio State evened it up at two with 3 minutes left in regulation. The Buckeyes then scored the game-winner 1:37 into overtime.
The Tommies then fell 8-0 in game two.

WCHA Leader Board
Ella Boerger leads the Tommies in both assists and face–off winning percentage. She is currently fourth in the WCHA in assists with eleven and second in face-off winning percentage with .692
Ilsa Lindaman is second in the WCHA in power play goals with three and leads the Tommies.
As a team St. Thomas averages the least penalty minutes per game in the WCHA with 6:00. The Purple is also third in faceoff winning percentage with a team average of .593.
National Rankings
The St. Thomas Tommies jumped into the national polls back on October 20th for the first time of the Division I era and are currently ranked No. 13 in the USA Hockey Poll and No. 14 in the USCHO poll.
The Tommie offense is tied for first in the nation in power play percentage with a .333. The Purple is also ranked fourth in assists, goals, team faceoff winning percentage, and team points.
Individually, Ilsa Lindaman is first in the nation in power play goals with three.

The Tommies have welcomed 11 newcomers to St. Paul ahead of the 2025-26 season. Three transfers and eight freshmen.

Scouting the Beavers
Bemidji State holds a 2-5-1 overall record and sits 0-5-1 in conference play. The Beavers are led by junior Hailey Armstrong who has tallied six goals through eight games.
The Beavers are led by head coach Amber Fryklund who is in her second season at the helm of the program after serving five years as the associate head coach.
History with the Beavers
The Tommies hold a 6-9-1 record against the Beavers, most recently a 4-3 victory back on February 15th. On the road, the Purple is 1-6-1 against the Beavers of Bemidji State.
Up Next
The Purple will return to Lee & Penny Anderson Arena to take on the No. 5 University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs on November 14th and 15th.
