Tommies open season at #17 Iowa State

ST. PAUL, MINN. – The University of St. Thomas women's basketball team is back. After months of workouts and practices, the Tommies will open their 2025-26 season on the road, as they travel to Ames, Iowa to take on #17 Iowa State. Tipoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
HOW TO WATCH
Tickets are still available for Monday's matchup between the Tommies and nationally-ranked Cyclones. Thety can be purchased through cyclones.com and Ticketmaster.
STREAMING: Monday's game will stream on ESPN+. Fans can subscribe to ESPN+ (now ESPN Select) for $11.99 a month of $119.99 per year. A more expensive plan, ESPN Unlimited, is available for $29.99 per month.
LIVE STATS: Live stats will be available through Iowa State's official athletics website.
TOP STORYLINES:
A DAWNING OF A NEW ERA: The Tommies will look a little different when they open their season on November 3, 2025. Four of St. Thomas starters from the 2024-25 team are no longer with the program, but that doesn't necessarily spell doom for the Tommies. Head coach Ruth Sinn put together her tallest roster of the DI era with just one player under 5'7 on the roster.
LEE & PENNY ANDERSON ARENA: St. Thomas will cristen its new home, Lee & Penny Anderson Arena, on Saturday, November 8. The Tommies will host Army at 2:00 p.m. in the first ever basketball game played in the new facility, which officially opened October 24, 2025. Tickets for both basketball games are still available at tommiesports.com/tickets.
FIELD TRIP DAY: St. Thomas women's basketball will host the first ever Field Trip Day at Lee & Penny Anderson Arena on Wednesday, December 3. Field Trip Day will include a variety of activities for students, teachers and chaparones alike, and the first 500 registrants will have a chance to participate in an on-campus scavenger hunt and receive a free Tommie swag banner.
