Third period comeback not enough as Tommies fall 7-6 in overtime

Lindaman netted two goals for the Purple
ST. PAUL, MINN. - The St. Thomas Tommies (6-2-0, 2-2-0) fell to the Providence Friars (2-5, 0-2) 7-6 in overtime.
The Tommies scored three goals in the third period to take a 6-5 lead, and the Friars tied it up with 30 seconds to play to send the game into overtime. This is the Tommies third consecutive game to go to overtime.

Ilsa Lindaman tallied two goals for the Tommies while Rylee Bartz, Ella Boerger, Teagan Kulenkamp, and Whitney Horton chipped in one a piece.
Scoring Summary:
First Period: Providence took an early 1-0 lead, scoring just 23 seconds into the game. Freshman Teagan Kulenkamp then knotted the game at one off assists from Haley Maxwell and Callie Rice. The Tommies then took a 2-1 lead when Ilsa Lindaman netted her first of the afternoon during a power play off passes from Ella Boerger and Chloe Boreen. Providence then knotted the game at 2-2 after their own power play goal to go into the break tied at 2.
Second Period: Providence tallied three goals in the third to take a 5-2 lead heading into the final period.
Third Period: The Purple offense came out strong in the third, netting four goals from Rylee Bartz, Whitney Horton, Ella Boerger, and Ilsa Lindaman. Lindaman's goal was her second of the afternoon and gave the Tommies a 6-5 lead, before the Friars tied the game at 6 with 30 seconds to play.
Overtime: Providence netted the game winner at 2:38 of the overtime period.

Rylee Bartz, Ella Boerger, and Teagan Kulenkamp (Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial) each tallied a goal and an assist.
