St. Thomas Men’s Hockey Releases 2024-25 Schedule

The Tommies host St. Cloud State, Vermont, and Minnesota in their fourth season of Division I hockey.
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of St. Thomas men's hockey team has announced its complete 2024-25 schedule with a similar non-conference slate as seen last season. Home-and-home series with the St. Cloud State Huskies and Minnesota Golden Gophers highlight the non-conference schedule.
Opening weekend sees the Tommies hosting Manitoba on Oct. 5 in an exhibition game and then dropping the puck on the regular season against St. Cloud State, Oct. 6 at Saint Thomas Ice Arena.
St. Thomas next welcomes the Catamounts of Vermont to Mendota Heights on Oct. 11-12. After a bye-week, the Tommies match-up with Twin Cities rival Minnesota. First, at 3M Arena at Mariucci on Oct. 25 and then at Xcel Energy Center on the 26th, presented by Wings Credit Union. Tickets for the game at Xcel Energy Center will go on sale Aug. 20 with a presale on the 19th for St. Thomas and Minnesota season ticket holders.
The Purple round out their early-season home-heavy non-conference schedule with two games against Augustana, Nov. 1-2. The Tommies' fourth season of CCHA play kicks off with a home-and-home against the Minnesota State Mavericks. The two conference foes do battle at Saint Thomas Ice Arena on Nov. 8 and then make the short trek to Mankato on Nov. 9.
Bowling Green State joins the fray in Mendota Heights, Nov. 15-16 before the Toms head on the road for their first true road series, Nov. 22-23 in Bemidji as they square off with the Beavers.
St. Thomas returns home the weekend of Thanksgiving for a conference series against the Lake Superior State Lakers on Nov. 29-30. The series will be the first time both teams meet after last season's thrilling CCHA Quarterfinal series.
The Purple spend a month on the road in December as they visit Michigan Tech (Dec. 6-7) and St. Cloud State (Dec. 29) before heading down to St. Louis on Jan. 3-4 to play the Lindenwood Lions.
Two of their next three conference series are on home ice with games against Ferris State (Jan. 10-11) and Bemidji State (Jan. 25-26) sandwiched around a trip to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on Jan. 17-18.
The Tommies play more road games down the final stretch toward the Mason Cup Playoffs first with a home-and-home against Minnesota State (Jan. 31 in Mankato & Feb. 1 in Mendota Heights) and then with a series in Bowling Green, Ohio (Feb. 7-8). After a bye the week of Feb. 10, the Purple play the Wildcats of Northern Michigan on the road on Feb. 21-22.
The 2024-25 regular season comes to an end with a home series against Michigan Tech on Feb. 28 – Mar. 1.
The CCHA Quarterfinals are hosted at team sites and are scheduled for Mar. 7-8. CCHA Semifinal games are slated for Mar. 14-15 and the Finals, Mar. 21-22, all hosted at the remaining top-seeded teams' home site.

Season tickets for 2024-25 Tommie Hockey will go on sale later this month. All season ticket holders will receive priority purchase opportunities for Lee and Penny Anderson Arena, scheduled to open in 2025, and for the game at Xcel Energy Center, as tickets are not included in the season ticket package.
