St. Thomas to host conference meet at O’Shaughnessy Stadium

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Summit League will converge at O'Shaughnessy Stadium for three days as St. Thomas hosts the 2024 Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 9-11.

The entirety of the championships will be streamed live with live results available. Three-day passes are available at $25 for adults and $15 for youth, while single-day passes are $15 for adults and $10 for youth.
 
The heptathlon and decathlon begin at 10 a.m. Thursday to start the meet followed by a 9:45 a.m. start time for the multis on Friday. Saturday's events begin at 11 a.m. with the discus and triple jump.
 
Fans and media are encouraged to park at the Anderson Parking Facility located at the corner of Cretin Avenue and Grand Avenue. The rate is $2 per hour. For javelin events located at the University of Minnesota, fans can access paid parking using the 4th Street Parking Ramp located at 1625 4th Street SE, Minneapolis, Minn., 55455.
 
Entrances to O'Shaughnessy Stadium are located at Gate A off Cretin Avenue, Gate C at the northeast corner of the stadium, and Gate D located north of the stadium. The University of Minnesota track & field facility may be accessed using the walking path on the northwest corner of the facility in Minneapolis.
 
Media credentials can be picked up at the ticket booth within the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. For media in need of a credential, please contact Collin Boyles at collin.boyles@stthomas.edu.
 
South Dakota enters as the defending outdoor champions for both men and women. The St. Thomas men took fourth at the meet last year while the women took fifth.
 
Last Time Out
St. Thomas track & field welcomed in 17 teams to the Joe Sweeney Invitational Wednesday, May 1 as the Tommies came away with a combined 11 event wins and 17 top-10 marks between the men's and women's programs.
 
The women totaled 12 top-10 marks with eight event wins, 43 top-10 finishes and 42 personal records. The men finished with five top-10 marks, three event wins, 38 top-10 finishes and 21 personal records.
 
Summit League Ranks
The men have 30 marks that rank among the top 10 of their respective events in the Summit League while the women have 24.
 
Nate Raddatz holds the league's top mark in the decathlon and third best javelin, while Jack Rosner ranks second in the decathlon, the 110m hurdles and the 400m hurdles. The 4x400m relay leads the Summit while Sean McNiesh is second in the 10000m run, an event that features six Tommies among the top 10.
 
The women's 4x100m and 4x400m relays each rank third in the Summit League while Olivia Keller is third in the heptathlon and Anna Swanson is third in the javelin. Following Swanson in the javelin is Alyssa Whaley in fourth and Chloe Staub in sixth.
