Tennis travels to North Dakota for final match of the season

Tommie Tennis faces Fighting Hawks in season finale
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The St. Thomas Women's Tennis team travels to North Dakota to face the Fighting Hawks in the final match of the season. The Tommies are set to play the Summit League match at 10:15 at Choice Health & Fitness.
Last Time Out
Match vs Omaha - L, 4-3
Omaha earned the point in doubles play, taking the early lead in Saturday's Summit League match up.
In the No. 4, 5, and 6 singles positions, Caroline Lindahl (6-3, 6-2), Yinong Ma (6-1, 6-2) and Shrichandrakala Tentu (6-3, 6-2) all won in straight sets.
Going into a third set in her No. 1 singles match, Marthe Degeorges claimed set one, 6-4. However, Adkins of Omaha flipped the script, coming up victorious in the next two sets to defeat Degeorges and clinch the match.
This is the Tommies fourth Summit League match that has been decided by just one point.
Match vs Creighton – L, 4-1
In match two of the weekend, St. Thomas secured the doubles point. Yinong Ma and Olivia Paradise (7-5), and Marthe Degeorges and Shrichandrakala Tentu (6-1) helped the Tommies to claim to early lead against the Creighton Bluejays.
Creighton, however, collected four wins in singles play to top the Tommies 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Strong Season
St. Thomas has set a new program win record in the DI era (8), recording an 8-12 record with one match remaining.
Yinong Ma (14-3 overall), Olivia Paradise (9-7 overall) and Caroline Lindahl (9-9 overall) lead the Tommies in singles play. Ma is the second Tommie of the DI-era to reach 10 wins in singles action in a single season. Marthe Degeorges was the first (10-6) to reach 10 wins during the 2023 season.
The duo of Ma and Paradise have posted an overall 10-4 record in the No. 1 doubles spot this season.
