Women’s Tennis finishes season with a conference match at North Dakota

In Summit League action, the Fighting Hawks top the Tommies 5-2
Grand Forks, N.D. -- The St. Thomas women's tennis team traveled to North Dakota for its final match of the 2023-24 season. In a close battle, North Dakota defeated the Tommies 5-2 on Sunday afternoon.
In doubles play, Marthe Degeorges and Caroline Lindahl won their match 6-4. The duo of Olivia Paradise and Yinong Ma fell in a tight match up, 7-6 (1-7).
With the doubles decision up to the No. 2 pairings, Jannah ElNemr and Shrichandrakala Tentu battled in a highly competitive match, ultimately falling by a score of 7-6 (11-13)
In the No. 1 and No 6 singles spots, Degeorges (6-3, 6-3) and Tentu (6-2, 3-6, 6-1) ended the season in the win column. ElNemr, Lindahl and Ma all played in three sets in singles action, winning the opening set, but their North Dakota opponents all battled back to victories.
St. Thomas has set a new program win record in the DI era (8), recording an 8-13 record this season
Yinong Ma (14-4 overall), Olivia Paradise (9-8 overall) and Caroline Lindahl (9-10 overall) led the Tommies in singles play. Ma is the second Tommie of the DI-era to reach 10 wins in singles action in a single season. Marthe Degeorges was the first (10-6) to reach 10 wins during the 2023 season.
The duo of Ma and Paradise have posted an overall 10-5 record in the No. 1 doubles spot this season.
