The Tommies face first setback of the season, falling to the Beacons on the road
VALPARAISO, Ind.-- The St. Thomas women's tennis team wrapped up their weekend road trip at Valparaiso on Sunday morning. The Tommies fell to the Beacons on the road, 4-3.
RECAP
Valparaiso started the match by taking the point in doubles play over the Tommies. The doubles pairing of Olivia Paradise and Yinong Ma was defeated for the first time this season by a duo from Valpo (6-1).
In singles action, once again this weekend, Lindahl (7-6, 6-3), Paradise (6-1, 2-6, 6-2) and Ma (2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7)) found match wins at the No. 3, 4 and 5 singles spots.
However, the Beacons ultimately defeated the Tommies after earning three singles victories of their own.
