Frank records 38 saves in loss to the Huskies
MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. -- The St. Thomas Women's Hockey team hosted No. 10-ranked St. Cloud State in game one of the home-and-home series. The Tommies fell 1-0 at Saint Thomas Ice Arena on Friday evening.
RECAP
St. Cloud State opened scoring 12 minutes into the first period, tallying the lone goal of tonight's game.
Throughout the second period, both squads went on the power play once, and neither team was able to capitalize on their opportunity. The Huskies drew a penalty midway through the period, while the Tommies' power play was in the final three minutes of the second frame. The Tommies added five shots on goal in the final five minutes of the second. Graduate student, Calla Frank recorded 30 saves through two periods of play.
The third period remained scoreless as both goalies shut down all shot attempts. The Tommies continued to make an offensive push, pulling their goalie with 1:15 left in the third period. However, the Purple could not tie the game with the 6-on-5 advantage. Frank added eight more saves in the third period, bringing her total to 38 saves in tonight's game.

· Graduate Student, Calla Frank made 38 saves and a .974 SV% against the Huskies.
· Junior, Lauren Stenslie led the team with three blocked shots.
· Freshman, Ella Boerger went 16-11 on the face-off dot against the Huskies.
