Softball handed 8-0 loss on Saturday

St. Paul, Minn. - St. Thomas softball (10-28, 5-7 Summit League) suffered a shutout loss to Omaha (19-12, 8-4 Summit League), 8-0, on Saturday.
The Tommies were held to just one hit, a single in the bottom of the seventh by Sarah Hudson. Four different Tommies were able to reach base on a walk, giving the team five total baserunners in the contest.
Freshman Christina Crawford fell to 5-8 on the season. The righty struck out six batters, but allowed six earned runs, and eight total runs scored against her.
The team will face North Dakota next Saturday and Sunday, including a Sunday game that features Senior Day festivities.
