St. Thomas Track and Field is ready for the Friday-Saturday Summit League Championships meet set for Grand Forks, N.D.

Nine men's teams and 10 women's teams compete in indoor track and field in The Summit League.

The championships will begin at 9:30 a.m. on both days with the multi-events. Field events will start at 3 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday. Running events will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.

For the men, North Dakota State looks to claim its third consecutive Summit League Indoor Championship title and sixth in the last seven years. On the women's side, North Dakota State also is in search of its 15th consecutive team title to extend its league record.

You can follow along on live stream and with live results.  For all the information, check out the Summit League's indoor track & field championships central page.

Did You Know?

Of its 56 athletes entered this weekend, St. Thomas has 23 competing in their first college conference track and field meet.

The Tommie women have 14 freshmen and one grad transfer in their 28-athlete lineup.

The St. Thomas men have nine freshmen and eight sophomores in their 28-man contingent.

The men's newcomers include three athletes who are ranked among the top 70 freshmen nationally in their events on the Division I track and field season -- Jack Rosner in the heptathlon and 60 hurdles; Isaiah Hopf in the triple jump; and Gary Afram in the 60 dash.

Senior Parker Feuerborn is the highest seeded St. Thomas athlete on the national charts at No. 38 in the weight throw. He improved his career best by three feet last Friday with a 68-7 toss, a mark that is just 1-4 inch off the school record set by 2019 D-III national champion Eric Holst.

The Tommie men have 15 athletes seeded in the top 10 on the Summit League charts. That group includes top-six seeds Nate Raddatz, Rosner and Cameron Schulz (seeded 2-3-4 in the heptathlon); Afram in the 60 dash (fourth seed); Hopf in the triple jump (fourth seed); Morey Smith in the 3,000 and mile, fifth and sixth seed); Eric Douville in the 200 (sixth seed); and Anderson on the 60 hurdles (sixth seed).

Senior Erik Anderson broke a school record last Friday in the 60 hurdles with an 8.17 clocking. That broke the record held set in January by freshman Jack Rosner of 8.26.

Senior Olivia Moll is seeded fourth in the 5,000 for St. Thomas. Moll earned All-Summit League in cross country last fall with a fifth-place finish in the league championships.

Two men's athletes who competed last May at the NCAA Division III Outdoor track and field meet -- soph distance runner Zach Haire and junior middle-distance man Maxwell Gifford -- are sidelined this indoor season with injuries. Haire took fourth place last October at the Summit League Cross Country Championships to lead the Toms to second place in the team race.
