Feuerborn, Hopf take thirds; multi athletes start well
Grand Forks, N.D. -- St. Thomas Men's Track and Field had three top-four finishes Friday on day one of the Summit League Indoor Championship meet. The Purple have 20 points with five of 17 events complete.
South Dakota State (61), South Dakota (59) and North Dakota State (41) hold the top three spots atop the team standings.

Friday scorers for the St. Thomas men were:
- Senior Parker Feuerborn took third in the weight throw in 68-4, three inches off his career best.
- Freshman Isaiah Hopf placed third in the long jump at 22-11 3-4.
- The distance medley relay placed fourth in 10:12 with freshman Tony Weeks, Mason Thedens, John Morrison and Charlie Caven.
- Junior Morey Smith took sixth in the 3,000 in a career-best time of 8:18.54.
- Senior Nate Raddatz (2,684 points) is in second place (2,684), behind leader Eric VanErp of NDSU (3,013).
- Freshman Sam May is in fifth place (2,581).
- Freshman Jack Rosner is in sixth (2,473).
- Soph Cameron Schulz is in seventh (2,438).
- Senior Drew Probst is in ninth (2,433).
In preliminary events, two Toms advanced to Saturday's eight-man finals:
- Carter Maack qualified seventh in the 60 hurdles (8.32).
- Eric Douville qualified seventh in the 200 (21.80)
