St. Paul, Minn. - Senior DB Luke Glenna earned Pioneer Football League Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors after a 22-tackle game in the Tommies win over Davidson.
Glenna led the stout St. Thomas defensive effort with 22 stops, including 11 solo tackles in St. Thomas' 27-16 PFL victory against Davidson. It marked the first 20-plus tackle game in the PFL and third in the FCS this season.
After opening the game with a four-tackle first quarter, Glenna notched six tackles in each of the game's final three quarters. His lone tackle for loss came on a third down midway through the fourth quarter, and helped force a Davidson turnover on downs at midfield.
St. Thomas hosts Drake on Saturday, Oct. 15, for homecoming when the Tommies look to add to their 33-game regular-season home winning streak and remain unbeaten in conference action.
