Rudd takes event win as Men’s Swim & Dive opens 2022-23 season

St. Paul, Minn. -- Sophomore Joe Rudd brought home an event win for St. Thomas Men's Swimming & Diving in the 100 yard breaststroke during the season-opening meet against Green Bay. The Tommies fell to the Phoenix, 203-95, Friday afternoon at the AARC Pool.
The Tommies totaled one event win and 20 top-three finishes.
Rudd and senior Will Goldman took the top two finishes in the 100 breaststroke, the first event win of the day for the Tommies. Rudd's time of 56.92 while Goldman finished with a time of 59.20.
The Tommies continue their weekend Saturday with a trip to Sioux Falls, S.D. St. Thomas and Augustana will begin their dual at 2 p.m.
