 -- Sophomore Taynian Walgrave recorded three top-four finishes to lead St. Thomas Women's Track and Field at Saturday's Jack Johnson Classic hosted by the University of Minnesota.

The non-team scored meet included scholarship programs and athletes from the Minnesota Gophers, Florida International, North Dakota State, St. Thomas, Omaha, Minnesota-Duluth and Iowa Central Community College. St. Thomas had 11 top-five individual finishes.

Walgrave hit a career-best time in the 60 hurdles as she placed third in 8.79. She also took fourth in the 60 dash (8.01) and fourth in the 200 (26.46).

Hannah Cornelius won the 400 dash (59.99). Mariana Lehrer (35-0 1-4) and Maggie Olejnik (34-9 3-4) placed 2-3 in the triple jump. Caroline Anderson took fourth in the high jump (5-3). Megan Gehrke placed fourth in the shot put (45-0 1-4). Josie Liebl (26-3 points) and Alaina Schoenfelder (2601) took 5-6 in the pentathlon. Alicia Belany placed fifth in the 800 (2:22.74). Anoka Elvrum placed fifth in the 600 (1:45.54).

St. Thomas took third in the 4x400 relay in 4:09.54 with Cornelius, Molly Reighard, Hailey Hindt and Amaya Lyrek.

St. Thomas competes Feb. 5 at the Minnesota Open.
