Midnight Blues for Men's Soccer in 2-OT loss

Houston Baptist scored with two minutes left in the second overtime to post a 1-0 win over visiting St. Thomas in Thursday night's non-conference men's soccer game in Houston, Texas. The Huskies' late score spoiled the Tommies' NCAA Division I debut contest.
The 8 p.m. game included a 70-minute weather delay in the first half, and concluded just before midnight.
HBU (1-0) had a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks and a 17-7 edge in shots. With a two-overtime tie looming in the 108th minute, senior C.J. Smith connected to the lower right side with the game's only goal
Tucker Mann had three saves in goal for the Tommies (0-1). St. Thomas concludes the trip on Sunday with a 5:30 p.m. game against Incarnate Word, a 1-0 loser to Florida Atlantic earlier Thursday.
