Men's Hockey wins again on road, now 6-1-1 on season

Jacob Berger stopped 32 of 33 shots and five different Tommies scored goals in Friday night's 5-1 St. Thomas win over Bethel in an MIAC hockey game in Blaine.
St. Thomas (6-1-1) avenged its only loss of the season, a 5-4 overtime decision to the Royals at home nine days earlier.
St. Thomas never trailed but didn't ice away the game until the final minute.
Phil Fromberger's first goal of the season late in period two broke a 1-1 tie. Luke Radetic scored early in period three to push the lead to two.
After a 5:00 major penalty on Bethel late in the game, the Tommies capitalized with an empty-net power-play goal by Spencer Zwiener with 33 seconds left, and a late power-play goal by Josh Maucieri.
The Purple improved to 11-1-1 in their last 13 games dating back 13 months. They ran their road win streak to seven heading into Tuesday night's season finale at St. John's.
The Toms' have received goals from 15 different players in their eight games so far in 2021.
