Brenna Walek slapped a pair of two-run homers and freshman Kierstin Anderson-Glass pitched her fifth shutout of the season in Saturday night's 8-0 Tommie win over St. Olaf in the Plymouth Dome. The MIAC season opener was moved indors due to the cold and windy conditions.
Katie Jo Delisle (six innings) and reliever Jessica Eppenberger combined on a one-hit shutout and set down the final 20 Ole batters in a 7-0 victory in game two.
Walek now has three home runs on the season and 26 on her career in 93 games.
Anderson-Glass (9-2) retired the last eight batters she faced. She struck out eight and walked none. In 64 innings in her college career she has 81 Ks and just three walks.
No. 23-ranked St. Thomas (13-3 overall, 2-0 MIAC) has won 11 in a row. Micaela Trainor had a two-run homer to lead a 10-hit attack in game two. UST pitchers didn't walk a batter over 12 innings on the two contests.
St. Thomas is home Sunday April 3 to face UW-Stout in two seven-inning games starting at 1 p.m. on South Field.
