Women's basketball runs past Hamline, 76-56

ST. PAUL – The St. Thomas women's basketball team outscored Hamline University 29-15 in the second quarter of a 76-56 win on Saturday afternoon at Hutton Arena.The
Tommies trailed by two points after the first quarter, but opened the second on a 16-4 run to crack open a 10-point lead from which they never looked back.
Kaitlin Langer and Lauren Fischer where the only two Tommies to score in double-figures with 16 and 11 points, respectively, while Chelsey Bonsante was the only Piper in double digits with a game-high 19 points.
With the win, St. Thomas improves to 18-3 overall and 12-2 in the MIAC. Hamline is now 3-18 overall and 1-13 in league play.
