The third-seeded Tommie men's tennis team won a few close matches en route to a 5-0 victory over sixth-seed St. Mary's Friday in round one of the MIAC playoffs in St. Peter.

The match was halted when the win was secured with five points.

St. Thomas (11-5) advances to Saturday morning's semifinal match against second-seed Carleton.
