Season-ending MIAC playoff loss for Men's Tennis at Carleton

St. Thomas Men's Tennis put up a strong fight but host Carleton came away with a 6-1 victory over the Tommies in Thursday's MIAC playoff semifinal match in Northfield.
Carleton (9-1) moves on to Saturday's championship contest against Gustavus in St. Peter.
One match was tied and another St. Thomas led in the two remaining singles matches as Carleton secured the team victory.
Anshul and Aashish Bharath scored an 8-6 win at third doubles. Frank Stich and Trevor Fjelstad lost 8-6 at first doubles. Myles Krzewisnki and Sterling Sibley fell 8-5 at second doubles.
"Our men competed very hard and played Carleton extremely close," said Tommie coach Ken Cychosz. "Our team improved dramatically throughout the year. I'm extremely proud of their effort and how far they have progressed. We played our best tennis at the end of the season."
The Tommies closed the season 9-7, including three losses to Division I teams and three other losses to highly-ranked Gustavus and Carleton.
