Men's Tennis Program Overview

St. Thomas annually fields competitive tennis teams with accomplished individuals.

Ken Cychosz is starting his second season as head coach for men and women in 2020-21. He replaced Terry Peck, who coached the Tommie men and women's teams for nearly three decades before retiring in 2019.

St. Thomas made the MIAC playoffs 11 of the last 13 seasons as a member.

St. Thomas’ 2016-17 top doubles team of Luke Elifson and Martin Beck advanced to the fall ITA nationals and earned All-America honors.

In 2010, St. Thomas moved into new on-campus indoor courts in the Anderson Athletics and Recreation Center. UST is also studying options for new outdoor courts on its south campus. St. Thomas also plays several matches five miles away at the University of Minnesota Baseline courts.

St. Thomas has a strong academic tradition, with two CoSIDA Academic All-America recipients in the last 18 seasons, and numerous Academic All-MIAC and ITA academic honors.
