at St. Olaf (M), January 26, 2013
Steve Sorenson scored two power-play goals, but the Tommies dropped another 3-2 decision to St. Olaf in MIAC men's hockey play Saturday night in Northfield.
St. Thomas (10-9-2 overall, 7-4-1 M IAC) lost a pair of 3-2 decisions on the weekend and dropped out of first place as the Oles moved to 8-1 in the conference. In the last three seasons, UST and St. Olaf have tied three games and split the other six 3-3, with all six decided by one goal.
St. Olaf broke to a 3-0 lead before UST's comeback bid came up short. Tyrone Simcoe had 23 saves for St. Thomas.
The Tommies play Bethel next weekend as they try to stay in the title race with four MIAC games to play.
