No. 23-ranked Ramapo scored a 7-4 win over No. 19-ranked St. Thomas in Tuesday non-conference baseball play in Florida. The Roadrunners improved to 10-0, while UST dropped to 9-4.
A two-out error led to three Ramapo errors in the second inning. UST led 4-3 through six innings of the nine-inning game but a three-run homer in the top of the seventh put the Roadrunners ahead to stay.
St. Thomas was held to five hits. All four Tommie losses have come against teams ranked in the top 30 of a national poll.
UST is off Wednesday and plays a Thursday exhibition game vs. the Minnesota Twins Rookie team. The Toms also play a Friday doubleheader vs. the University of Chicago and a single game Saturday vs. Worcester (Mass.) State.
