The second-place Tommies (15-6 overall, 12-4 MIAC) held off a late charge and topped the third-place Auggies, 75-72, in conference men's basketball in Minneapolis.

UST led 43-29 at halftime and built the lead to 17 with 15:30 left before Augsburg rallied.

Junior wing Noah Kaiser scored a career-high 24 points, including both ends of a one-and-one situation with 20 seconds left after the Auggies had pulled within 73-72.

Junior Will DeBerg added 12 points, and freshman Conner Nord had nine points and eight rebounds.

UST, which sits one-half game behind first-place Gustavus in the MIAC standings, will play three of its last four games at home. The Gusties had a Saturday bye.
