W, 4-2
Conc.-M'hd (M), November 30, 2012

The first-place Tommies (6-4-1 overall, 5-0 MIAC) got goals from four different players and ended a six-game winless streak against the Cobbers (3-6-1, 2-3) with Friday night's 4-2 win on home ice.

No. 13-ranked UST, which never trailed, outshot the Cobbers 14-8 in the first 40 minutes and 28-16 on the game. The Toms iced the win with Alex Niestrom's empty-net tally with 11 seconds remaining.

The teams play again Saturday at 2:35 p.m., in a game televised live in the Twin Cities on Channel 45.

UST was 0-5-1 in its previous six meetings with Concordia, including a 3-1 loss earlier in November in a non-conference game in Moorhead.

Drew Fielding stopped 14 of 16 shots for the Tommies. Connor McBride scored his first goal of the season in period one. Chris Cass and Alex Altenbernd scored in period two for a 3-1 lead.

Jordie Bancroft and Ben Payne scored power-play goals for the Cobbers. Chris Neamonitis stopped 24 of 27 shots in goal.

Fifteen different players have scored St. Thomas' 28 goals thus far in 2012-13.
