Volleyball tops Augs, runs win streak to 13

The No. 11-ranked Tommie volleyball team ran its season win streak to 13 with Saturday's 3-1 win at Augsburg. The 25-18, 20-25, 25-12, 25-18 road victory over the Auggies leaves UST in a three-way tie for the conference lead with St. Ben's and Concordia. Bethel lost Saturday to fall to 7-2.
St. Thomas (26-3 overall, 8-1 MIAC) secured an MIAC playoff berth and moved closer to clinching a top-two seed and first-round bye.
Jill Greenfield had 12 kills and 16 digs; Kelly Foley had 12 kills and six assisted blocks; Ashley Maher had 34 assists and eight digs; KaitlainWachter had 32 digs; and Taylor Cross had eight kills and six assisted blocks.
UST plays Wednesday night at home vs. Hamline, and next Saturday afternoon vs. Bethel.
