Men's Tennis falls 7-2 to second-place Carleton

Regionally-ranked Carleton won four tie-breaker singles matches as it scored an 7-2 win over St. Thomas in men's tennis play Monday afternoon in Northfield.

The Knights (17-3 overall, 7-1 MIAC) dropped a pair of 9-8 decisions in doubles but won tie breakers at Nos. 2-3-5-6 singles to hold off St. Thomas.

The Tommies (11-6, 7-3) won 9-8 at first doubles with Andy Michels and Kevin Walker and 9-8 at second doubles with Brendan O'Connell and Dan Cooper.

UST will be the third seed for next weekend's six-team playoffs.
