Volleyball tops Knights, still in MIAC lead

MIAC co-leader St. Thomas scored a 3-1 victory Saturday at Carleton to keep alive its hopes for a conference title or co-championship. UST defeated Carleton 21-25, 25-7, 25-25, 25-17.
The Toms *23-4 overall, 9-1 MIAC) remain one half game ahead of 8-1 St. Olaf, which topped Concordia on Saturday and dropped the Cobbers to two losses. UST can secure a share of its fourth consecutive MIAC title with a win Wednesday at St. Ben's.
UST's Katie Bonine had 15 kills and hit .500; Tori Jones had nine kills and six digs; Alesha Nelson had nien kills and hit .368; Nicole Potts had seven kills and nine digs; Emily Foster had 41 assists; and Kaitlain Wachter had 14 digs.
The Tommies hit .307 as a team with 49 digs and eight aces. As of today, the Tommies are 23-4 overall, and in the MIAC they are 9-1.
